Room Parents play a vital role in assisting teachers in event planning for the year and communicating important information on behalf of the EEHSP.
Room Parents (Yearlong)
How a Room Parent Helps

Coordinates classroom parties, organizes group gifts, and assists with special teacher requests

Shares EEHSP announcements, event reminders, and fundraising news with your class.

Helps build an encouraging, welcoming community for every family in your room
Classroom Parties (2-3 per year, depending on teacher)

Room Parents should divide events among themselves so that each Room Parent attends only one party/event per year.
*3rd Grade Picnic is a grade level event that serves as the end of year party and is open at all
parents and guardians in your class (including all Room Parents) -
Open party sign-ups to all class parents

Please do not use first-come, first-served sign-up links.

Use a random name generator to pick attendees.

Prioritize parents who haven't attended an in-school event yet before offering spots to repeat volunteers.

Selection Process
At Back to School Night, teachers will provide a link for parents and guardians to submit their name for Room Parent. Depending on teacher preference and interest, 2-3 Room Parents will be selected per class.

All names must be submitted by Thursday, September 17, 2026. Submissions will be reviewed and Room Parents will be notified by the Vice President of Grades at your school by Friday, September 25, 2026.
The Vice President of Grades for your school will be your contact as Room Parents and can provide helpful suggestions and guidance throughout the year,
