Scholastic Book Fairs
Erdenheim (October), Committee Chair - Erica Tomasko

Volunteer Needs
- Set Up Day - 4 Volunteers (Friday before Book Fair week)
- Each Day of the Fair - 18 Volunteers (6 per each 2 hour shift
- Family Night - 6 Volunteers for each Family Night
- Tear Down - 4 Volunteers (on the last day of the Fair)



Trunk or Treat (October)
Committee Chair - Megan Jones, VP of Grades, Enfield
Volunteer Needs - 25-30 Trunk Decorators; 4 Treat Monsters;
4-6 volunteers to assist with set up and tear down
Volunteer Benefits - Each Trunk Decorator receives two (2) free tickets to the event.
Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day (November)
Committee Chair - OPEN
In collaboration with the Multicultural Parents Association (MPA), EEHSP helps organize events and education surrounding the national Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day, to celebrate diversity, inclusion and anti-bullying messages. Students at Enfield and Erdenheim participate in a school-wide walk around campus to commemorate and celebrate Ruby’s historic steps.
Volunteer Needs - 4-8 Volunteers at each school. Volunteer
Description - Volunteers help prep the balloon arches at each school for prep the evening before the event; install the arches the morning of the event; and remove/repack all materials the afternoon of the event.



Harlem Wizards (February)

This committee works together to plan and run the Harlem Wizards Basketball Fundraiser., a high flying, slam dunk family friendly event and one of EEHSP's biggest fundraisers! Committee members will work closely with the representatives from the Harlem Wizards to handle all logistics of this sell-out event. Chair(s) will work closely with the Co-Vice Presidents of Fundraising to secure sponsors and donations for the event.
Volunteer Needs - 24-26 day-of volunteers are needed to set up the event, sell merchandise and concessions, and clean up after the event.
Volunteer Benefits- Each volunteer receives free entry to the game for themselves 20% off Wizards souvenirs.
Committee Planning kicks off in October and Committee Meetings are held from November to February.
Talent Show (March)
Committee Chairs - Chelsea ViaCava and Michael Schaller
Under the leadership of the Talent Show Chair(s), volunteers will support the annual production of the K-5 Talent Show. Committee members may help with rehearsals, overseeing student stage crew, decor, set up, and any other need as directed by the Chair(s).

Designer Bag Bingo (March)
Committee Chair - Nicole Rich
The Designer Bag Bingo Committee hosts an annual off-site community Bingo event that raises money for EEHSP initiatives. The Committee Chair(s) will work closely with the Co-Vice Presidents of Fundraising to secure sponsors and donations for the event. This Committee coordinates location, the purchase of bags, attendance ticket sales, raffle prizes, corporate sponsor outreach, and day-of event management.
Volunteer Needs - 6-8 Volunteers to set up items at the venue before the event; man check in tables and ticket sales; sell raffle tickets and 50/50 tickets during the event; clean up after the event.
Staff Appreciation Week (May)
Committee Chair(s) - OPEN
This committee plans special surprises and a lunch to honor the teachers, administration and staff at Enfield and Erdenheim every May.
Volunteer Needs - 2-4 Volunteers per 2 hour shift during each of the luncheons; 25 dessert donations needed per school

The Carnival is our largest community event of the year! Committee members will help organize, plan, and coordinate the Spring Carnival with the Committee Chair. Serving as both a fundraiser and community building event, the Carnival requires hundreds of volunteers. Areas include ticketing, games, prizes, food, crafts, entertainment, promotions, sponsorship, and more. Parent Volunteers are joined by Middle School and High School students to help with the day of activities.
Volunteer Needs - 50-60 Parent Volunteers (day of); 60 Donations for Bake Sale
Volunteer Benefits - Each 2 hour volunteer shift receives one (1) free Super Wristband for the Carnival (a $40 value!).
Committee kicks off planning in November and Committee Meetings are held from November to May.
School Supply Kits (June to August)
Committee Chair - Hayley Dennis, Co-President
This committee is responsible for the creation and sale of the School Supply Kits that are sold online throughout the summer, into the start of the school year. Kits are curated with school approved items, with the ability to edit for additional items or remove unneeded ones. Kits ship directly to the student's home and support EEHSP fundraising.

Arts in School (Yearlong)



Committee Chair - OPEN
Several events fall under the purview of the Arts in School Committee, including the Square 1 Fundraiser at Enfield and the Artome Art Show at Erdenheim.
Square 1 Art (Enfield - December to March)
This Fundraiser is coordinated in partnership with the Enfield art teacher, Mrs. Klein, and Square 1 Art. Students prepare artwork in class and a piece of art for every Enfield student is submitted to Square 1 Art. Families have an opportunity to shop for one-of-a-kind items featuring their artist's work. Proceeds from this Fundraiser go to EEHSP to help fund our school and teacher grants/initiatives.
Volunteer Needs: 1-2 Volunteers (to assist with scanning in student artwork to submit to Square 1)
Artome Art Show (ERD - May)
Erdenheim's art show displays work created in art class with Mrs. Forjohn, the Erdenheim art teacher. Artwork is professionally framed by Artome and families are encouraged to purchase their child's finished works. Proceeds from this Fundraiser go to EEHSP to help fund our school and teacher grants/initiatives.
Volunteer Needs: 15 Volunteers for Event (1-2 hour shift) to set up and clean up, check out table, art packaging, craft table, lobby and photo op
MacFarland-Corrigan Speaker Series
For Artist-in-Residence, the Committee works with the schools to arrange for volunteers to assist students during art programs. For Visiting Author, the Committee may help the schools in the advertising of books written or illustrated by the author and coordinate requests for the author to sign the students’ books.
*The MacFarland-Corrigan Speaker Series program is run through The School District of Springfield Township. Grant money for the program is submitted by the Philadelphia Foundation to EEHSP as a 501(C) (3) non-profit organization and then distributed by EEHSP to the SDST. Selection of the artist and/or author is handled by the School District of Springfield Township.
Volunteer Needs: Dependent upon needs of the author / artist.
Festival of the Arts (May)
Students at Enfield will create artwork in class with the art teacher, Mrs. Klein. Families are invited for an evening that showcases masterpieces throughout the hallways. Following the show, artwork will be removed from display and sent home with the students,
Volunteer Needs: TBD During the week before the Festival of the Arts, Mrs. Klein will ask for parent volunteers to mat and hang student artwork and set up displays for ceramic pieces (April 26-May 7).
Sustainability and Garden Committee (Yearlong)

The Sustainability and Garden Committee organizes activities and events that help instill a sense of environmental stewardship in our school community. We want our students to understand their place in and relationship with the natural world that sustains them daily. Each student should feel empowered in their ability to make a difference.
