The MacFarland Corrigan Speaker Series
EEHSP and the MacFarland Corrigan Speaker Series are proud to present Audrey Vernick as our 2025 Visiting Author. Visit dates are:
Erdenheim: March 4, 2025
Enfield: March 5, 2025
2025 Visiting Author: Audrey Vernick
"Audrey grew up in Whitestone, New York, where she lived with her parents and two sisters and a not very bright small white dog.
She always loved to read and reread and when she thinks of the characters in the books she loved as a child, she remembers them as fondly as her actual friends.
Audrey divides her time between writing (which is mostly spent revising) and visiting elementary schools to talk about writing and publishing. She also speaks at conferences around the country.
She has published two dozen books for young readers and her books have been translated into fifteen languages.
She lives near the ocean in New Jersey with her family and one fairly intelligent medium-sized black dog. Audrey Vernick is the proud recipient of three Fellowships from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts."

More information can be found about Ms. Vernick and her books on her website.

About The MacFarland Corrigan Speaker Series:
EEHSP and the School District of Springfield Township have established the MacFarland Corrigan Speaker Series to remember the contributions of Debbie MacFarland Corrigan, who served as an educator in the district. The support for this series comes from the Debbie MacFarland Corrigan Memorial Fund at the Philadelphia Foundation. The EEHSP and District staff will use these funds to bring reputable speakers in the areas of fine arts, music, and literature to the students of the Enfield and Erdenheim Elementary Schools.
