The EEHSP is proud to present The MacFarland Corrigan Speaker Series’ Author-in-Residence featuring John Parra!  Mr. Parra is an award-winning artist, illustrator, author, and educator, best known for his Latino themed children’s picture books.

Mr. Parra will be visiting Enfield on Tuesday, March 12th and Erdenheim on Wednesday, March 13th. He will meet with students during special presentations in the school libraries, where he will go into depth about his work and career as an author/illustrator.

As his visit draws near, we would like to encourage our families to explore Mr. Parra’s work. Our librarians have gathered a list of some of his most notable books for students at both schools to consider reading and enjoying the illustrations of.

About The MacFarland Corrigan Speaker Series:

The EEHSP and the School District of Springfield Township have established the MacFarland Corrigan Speaker Series to remember the contributions of Debbie MacFarland Corrigan, who served as an educator in the district. The support for this series comes from the Debbie MacFarland Corrigan Memorial Fund at the Philadelphia Foundation. The EEHSP and District staff will use these funds to bring reputable speakers in the areas of fine arts, music, and literature to the students of the Enfield and Erdenheim Elementary Schools.
